We live in a culture that is dominated by the Individual. Everything is measured by what it does for me. In this passage we are presented with something quite different, the idea that we can only become mature as the body of Christ when we join together in unity and love as a community of God’s people

Stature of the fullness of Christ

The measure we are to use to view our maturity is not our peers; not our mentor or church leader; not the latest Christian celebrity.  It is Christ – and it cannot be attained on an individual basis, but only when the church is a community together.
